Overview
RupeeVault: Expense Tracker is a personal finance application developed and maintained by Pranaw. The application is designed to help users manage expenses, income, vehicle costs, reminders, reports and backups.
Information Stored
Depending on the features you use, RupeeVault may store information such as:
- Expenses
- Income
- Expense descriptions
- Transaction dates and amounts
- Vehicle information
- Fuel and maintenance records
- Reminder settings
- Local backup files
- Exported financial reports
Offline Data
RupeeVault supports offline expense management. Your financial records can be stored locally on your Android device and normal expense tracking does not require an internet connection.
Google Drive Cloud Backup
RupeeVault provides an optional cloud backup feature using the user's Google Drive. Cloud backup is not required to use the application's normal offline expense-tracking features.
When you choose to use cloud backup, RupeeVault requires you to sign in with your Google Account and authorize the application to access the Google Drive functionality required to create and restore your RupeeVault backup files.
Backup files created through the cloud backup feature are stored in the user's Google Drive. Pranaw does not operate a separate server for storing these RupeeVault backup files.
Users can create cloud backups manually or configure automatic backups according to the schedules available in the application, such as every 24 hours, weekly or monthly.
Google Account Information
When you use Google Drive backup, Google may provide RupeeVault with account information required to authenticate your Google Account and provide the requested Google Drive functionality.
RupeeVault uses Google authentication and Google Drive access only to provide the features that you explicitly request, such as creating, updating or restoring your RupeeVault backup files.
Information We Do Not Collect
RupeeVault does not intentionally request or collect your bank account credentials, credit card numbers, contacts, GPS location or photos for its normal expense-tracking functionality.
Permissions
- Google Drive access: Used only when you choose the cloud backup or restore functionality.
- Calendar: Used to save reminders to your device calendar when you request this functionality.
- Biometric authentication: Used to securely unlock the application.
- Storage / file access: Used for supported local backup, restore and export operations.
- Notifications: Used to deliver expense reminders and scheduled backup notifications when enabled.
Security
Fingerprint and biometric authentication are handled by Android's biometric security system. RupeeVault does not store your biometric information.
Google Account authentication is handled through Google's authentication system. RupeeVault does not receive or store your Google Account password.
Backup & Export
RupeeVault supports both local and optional cloud backup. Local backups are created on your device. Cloud backups are stored in your Google Drive when you explicitly enable and authorize the cloud backup feature.
RupeeVault can also export financial records to PDF, Excel and CSV formats. Exported files can be shared using applications available on your device.
Data Sharing
Pranaw does not sell or rent your personal financial information.
When you use Google Drive backup, the backup data is transferred to and stored in your Google Drive according to the Google services and permissions you authorize. Google may process information according to its own privacy policies and terms.
Third-Party Services
RupeeVault uses Google authentication and Google Drive services when you choose to use cloud backup or restore. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy policies.
